To the NFL? Looks Like It for Longhorns’ Ewers

, , ,

Quinn Ewers is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in college football, but until now, fans have been unsure about his next move.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers has had a remarkable season, and Texas went to the College Football Playoff. But the big question is whether he’ll return to Austin for his senior year. Or sign a bigger NIL deal elsewhere? Or declare for the 2025 NFL Draft?

Oregon, Ohio State, SMU, Notre Dame, and others (Belichick at UNC?) appeared ready to challenge Texas in a bidding war for his services, and there’s even speculation that Ewers would play behind Arch Manning should he return to UT.

It appears that Ewers will declare for the NFL Draft despite the rumor that one or more scouts advised him to play another year of college football–if he wants to become a Round 1 pick. So, now the question is: Who will select Ewers in late April? I like the odds of him going to the Steelers.
