I’ve become very attracted to women’s college basketball. More specifically, I love to follow the Maryland Terps.

I’m surprised I love women’s basketball so much because basketball was never my thing, especially given my size (I’m barely 5 feet tall). But watching the Terps play has had an impact on me. The Lady Terps really support each other and it’s also clear they respect their head coach, Brenda Frese.

Coach Brenda has been the head coach since 2002. In 2006 she led the team to a National Championship. That’s not her only achievement, though. She has taken the Terps to the NCAA Championships 11 times, including this year, when they reached the Final Four before falling to eventual champ, UConn.

The Lady Terps should be valued and praised for their effort, consistency of play, and for the way they play together.

Go Terps!
