Championship weekend is on tap this weekend in the historic inaugural season of the Pro Padel League (PPL), North America’s first professional padel league.
Seven teams participated in a competition that began last month, spanned seven consecutive weekends, and will conclude this weekend with the semifinal and final rounds. Conducted in partnership with Florida’s Sports Coast, the competition will take place at the Sarah Vande Berg Tennis & Wellness Center in Zephyrhills, Florida. The winner will take home the PPL CUP Championship.
Adam Thomas, Florida’s Sports Coast Tourism Director, said, “We are overjoyed to welcome North America’s first-ever Professional Padel League to Florida’s Sports Coast for their inaugural season.”
You can watch the action via YouTube live stream. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, 9a and 1p, Eastern Time. In the morning round, Miami takes on Cancun; in the afternoon match, it’s Arkansas vs. Las Vegas. Finals will take place on Sunday.
Good stuff as always!
