Aria Pearce is a track star, and one of the fastest runners in the nation. She competes in AAU Track for a club called “Whatever It Takes.”
Recently, Pearce competed at a Tabor College meet against tough competition and took first in the 100-meter. She has also competed against college athletes. In a meet held in Manhattan, KS, Pearce ran against athletes from K-State, Kansas, Nebraska, and other college programs. She won the 200-meters and placed second in the 100-meters. At the Stanford Invitational, Pearce finished second in the 200-meters.
Incredibly, this 7th grader can keep pace and often outperform college-age athletes. Aria Pearce is a name to watch.

About Matthew Paris
I grew up an avid Houston sports fan. After graduating from Texas Tech University in Theater and English Literature I worked as a marketing rep and coach for I9 Sports, coaching baseball, flag football, soccer, and basketball. I’m currently with Austin Sports Academy as a marketing coordinator, baseball and football coach, and coordinator of middle school and high school open play nights. I’ve written three short films for Looknow Productions and have also written articles on film marketing, producing, and directing. I really enjoy writing about sports and being an active contributor to The Sports Column.
