Athletes of Action
The 11th Annual Memorial Scholarship Luncheon was held on Saturday, April 9, in McKees Rocks, PA. Since program inception, over $60,000 has been raised and distributed to over 50 area student-athletes.
The work is done under the auspices of Athletes of Action, an organization dedicated to perpetuating the legacy of local athletes and coaches. Scholarships are bestowed to student-athletes living in the Montour and Sto-Rox School Districts based on their record of excellence in academics, athletics, and community service.
Athletes of Action also sponsors Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for needy families, and it donates to a variety of local boys/girls sports teams.
