Mithun Pranav participated in the just-completed 2nd Thailand Pattaya Amateur Chess championship, which was held in Pattaya, Thailand. Events were organized by the 101 Chess Academy and Bangkok Chess Club.
Pranav distinguished himself over a week’s worth of play.
He drew against 1636-rated Augustin Arnold of The Philippines and then won against 1029-rated Chiadthaisong Kanuengnit of Thailand.
For those achievements, Pranav was named ‘Amateur Best Youngest Player.’ He also earned an 1108 Blitz rating from FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs).
