Love of sports galvanized Kennedy’s.
John, Robert, and John Jr. are big names associated with the prestigious Kennedy family. John F. Kennedy was president, Robert Kennedy ran for president, and John F. Kennedy, Jr. became a journalist, actor, and lawyer. They all had something in common other than their surname: they loved sports.
President Kennedy played football all the way back in elementary school when he was 10-years-old. While in college at Harvard, he was on the swimming team.
Robert Kennedy also loved sports. While at Harvard, he earned a varsity letter in football. During his first and only game with Harvard, Robert scored the winning touchdown. An injury then ended his football career.
John F. Kennedy Jr was a big sports fan and participated actively in recreational sports, including snowboarding, football, swimming, and cross country.
Sports, you see, run deep in the Kennedy clan. And while all three Kennedy’s are now gone, their legacies live on.
