HBO’s Hard Knocks premiers August 7, 10p, Eastern.
HBO’s docu-series, Hard Knocks, returns for the 2018 season and the premium cable network has decided to focus on the Cleveland Browns. It’s an excellent move, too.
Why? It’s about intrigue, mystery, and–yes–even a bit of madness.
Head coach Hue Jackson is in the hot seat, having won just one game over the past two seasons. Cleveland is coming off the NFL’s first winless season in ten years.
But is a turnaround in the offing? GM John Dorsey used loads of cap space to bring in new faces, like Jarvis Landry, last season’s reception leader and arguably one of the League’s best slot receivers. Dorsey also signed free agent Carlos Hyde, who’s coming off his best season with the Niners.
Then there was the 2018 NFL Draft. The Browns had two picks in the top five and they used those picks to select QB Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma) and CB Denzel Ward (Ohio State). Both are high-ceiling players, which means team expectations are high.
Cameras will focus on these upgraded Browns. Is it worth watching? You bet!
