Storyline: Here are several RB and TE recommendations for your NFL Fantasy teams. These players should come cheap and could make big impacts this year.
Last week I talked about a few WRs that could be worth a gamble this season. I thought that I would round it out by adding a few more names at the RB and TE positions. These guys will be cheap to acquire in the draft or off the waiver wire and could fill major voids this year.
Running Backs

C.J. Spiller (Saints): Spiller has burned many Fantasy owners throughout the years with his flares of injuries. But it looks like he’ll be filling Pierre Thomas’s role in the offense and letting Mark Ingram take most of the hard hits. And I think the Red Zone may go in favor of Spiller because of Ingram’s inconstancies at the goal line. Ingram faced injury issues last year and those could reoccur. If so, Spiller will be more valuable as the season progresses.
Strong Facts from 2014:
* Pierre Thomas Averaged 4.93 yards per rush attempt behind Ingram
* Ingram missed 3 games and struggled with injuries throughout the season
Devonta Freeman (Falcons): The 2014 leading running back, Steven Jackson, is no longer a Falcon. Freeman is sitting at the top of the depth chart at RB currently, but could have a future battle with 3rd Round pick, Tevin Coleman. The Falcons have one of the easiest schedules in 2015. If Freeman can capitalize on his chance he should be able to secure the top spot.
Strong Facts from 2014:
* Averaged 3.8 yards per rush
* Well balanced with 248 rushing yards and 225 receiving yards

Others to consider:
Roy Helu (Raiders): It’s going to be tough to take Latavius Murray’s spot, but Helu was able to get 693 total yards with only 82 touches behind Alfred Morris.
Ameer Abdullah (Lions): The Lions lost Reggie Bush and they’ll look to Bell for carries. But I think rookie Abdullah will get chances to show his talent, especially after the Lions realize Bell can’t take all the abuse he’ll be exposed to.
Tight Ends
Josh Hill (Saints): The first and third reception-yard leaders in ’14 are gone for the Saints (Stills, Graham). The reality is that someone needs to step up. Hill will get many chances to fill Graham’s workload, and I don’t think many people will give him a chance in Fantasy drafts.
Strong Facts from 2014:
* Graham had 889 yards and 10 TD’s, Stills had 931 yards and 3 TD’s
* Josh Hill was able to obtain 5 TD’s behind Graham
* Caught 70% of balls thrown his way (14/20)

Jared Cook (Rams): Last year the Rams had problems with consistency at the QB position and that, ultimately, hurt Cook’s value. Nick Foles will be an improvement to the offense and Cook should give him a good target. The Rams will also have a strong defense and that will give the offense plenty of opportunities to go down the field.
Strong Facts from 2014:
* 634 receiving yards even with unsteady QB’s
* Played all 16 games
* 98 targets (As many as Antonio Gates)
Others to consider:
Jordan Cameron (Dolphin): I thought that this was a no brainer, but he has been underrated in Mock Drafts. Cameron is no longer a Brown … and that’s great. The Browns have made a mess out of their franchise and the Dolphins will correct the wrongs that Cameron endured during his time there.
Delanie Walker (Titans): This guy had good numbers last year, which included 890 yards and 4 touchdowns. Can Marcus Mariota give Walker the attention that he received last year (106 targets)? I think Walker will find a way to be involved in the offense and make an impact.
