Chiefs can still make things right.
What should’ve been a moment of celebration for the Kansas City Chiefs turned into a day of tragedy on Valentine’s Day when 21 people were shot at the Kansas City Chiefs parade celebration. Sadly, one person lost her life.
You might think that the Chiefs would’ve made the proper choice and held off all Super Bowl win celebrations after this incident. But that didn’t happen. Instead, Patrick Mahomes hosted a party at a restaurant, including Travis Kelce, and continued celebrating their win.
To me, that is inappropriate. Holding off celebrations in times of tragedy is the proper thing to do.
So what can they do now to right their wrongs? Mahomes, who hosted the party, should apologize to the community. Kelce should follow suit, and both should offer to pay any medical bills for the victims. Finally, the Chiefs should hold a special game to honor the victim who died, with all proceeds benefitting gun control organizations.
I have faith that Kelce and Mahomes can make things right. My thoughts are with the victims of the shooting.
Well Done, Kadin. Keep it up! I hope the message gets through to the Chiefs Organization.
