Gita clinched her second International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Pan Kids championship in a competition held in Orlando, Florida.
Gita’s impressive win in late July at the Pan Kids championship via armbar submission (one of the premier events in the jiu-jitsu calendar) is a testament to her hard work, discipline, and the high-quality training she receives at North Carolina’s Nature Jiu-Jitsu under the watchful eye of Professor Daniel Jesus.
A yellow belt in jiu-jitsu, she is also a dedicated cheerleader, having competed recently on two cheerleading teams that competed at the All-Star Worlds in Florida. She also emerged victorious at the American Nationals Competition held in Las Vegas.
Despite being a military kid moving constantly, Gita’s ability to participate at the championship level in two sports results from talent and commitment. Her success story shows young athletes that hard work and dedication make anything possible.
