Tauheed N. Browning captured an International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour title in the Dominican Republic.

“This has been an amazing experience on and off the court,” said the 20-year-old Browning. The full-time tennis pro elected to pursue his passion and goal of being the best player in the world, foregoing college. A highly recruited Class of 2022 prep star, Browning still receives calls from coaches of some of the country’s top NCAA Division I tennis programs.

Tauheed N. Browning: My dad and my coaching team, Cha Goods, Bill Adams, and Chris Hill, prepared me to be a top player on the ATP Tour.

Browning has trained with Adams and Kevron Bennett since 2021. “He has a world-class forehand,” Adams said. “As his confidence grows and he becomes stronger, the sky’s the limit for him.”

Browning’s win in Santo Domingo is especially noteworthy because he defeated two of the tournament’s seeded players while outlasting three opponents in matches longer than two-and-a-half hours.

Browning has a full tournament schedule for the remainder of the summer and has plans to compete in Africa in a few weeks. “Winning the M15 in Santo Domingo has added fuel to the fire. I’m locked in and excited for what’s to come,” Browning said.
