Lake Lorna Doone Park recently hosted the inaugural West Lakes District Play Date in one of Orlando’s most historic communities on the city’s west side.
Nearly 1,000 kids and families descended on Orlando’s Jewel of the West Side for the first-ever sports, arts, food, and entertainment festival.
Justin Kinsey, West Lakes District Executive Director: We are a world-class sports destination community within a world-class sports destination city and county. Creating a sports-themed, active living engagement like this is a natural tie-in for our residents, business partners, and visitors. People of all ages came out and enjoyed dancing to the musical performances of live entertainers and deejays, playing video and card games, and expressing their artistic side by making art and crafts.
