Mithun finished third in the Under 09 category in the Guru Nanak College International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament, which was conducted under the aegis of the All-India Chess Federation.
The event was conducted over three days, ending Sunday, January 8, and was held in Chennai.
The tournament had a time control of 30 min, 30-sec increments. Over 400 competitors participated. Mount Chess Academy organized the event, and the valedictory function was presided over by Grand Master Adhiban Baskaran.
