If he keeps it up, he may turn into Danny Dollars.
Daniel Jones has made incredible progress this season in the NFL. In “Vanilla Vick’s” first season in the NFL, he had a 61.9 completion percentage, an 87.7 QBR, and 24 TDs along with 12 INTs, plus god knows how many lost fumbles. All in all, it was an auspicious start to an NFL career.
But before his career even began, he was singled out. He went to one game in Yankee Stadium with his girl and was booed mercilessly. So, who is this mysterious quarterback from Duke University, drafted 6th overall?
Why ask? I’m sure the Minnesota Vikings found the answer last Sunday.
Danny Dimes dished out 301 passing yards and 78 rushing yards, and two touchdown passes. He was the first NFL quarterback ever to have 300+ passing yards and 70+ rushing yards with two or more touchdown passes in POSTSEASON HISTORY.
Where are all those HATERS?
Significant credit goes to Brian Daboll. He set the tone at the beginning of the season. After Jones’s first pick, he told him he wouldn’t have any of that this season. Guess what? We haven’t seen it again.
Daniel Jones has been the backbone of this team, and he is also the leader of this team. So, I’m not gonna be mad if “Danny Dimes” turns into “Danny Dollars.” He deserves it after the season he has had.
