The Pique-Shakira saga is making international headlines, including prompting the soccer star to retire from the game.
Only those who have experienced a divorce know how difficult and traumatizing this process can be. However, imagine having a whole country or the whole of Latin America angry with you because you decided to divorce to marry your new love. My beloved Spain, the land of my ancestors, is not giving any mercy to the professional soccer player Pique! Pique’s soccer practices are interrupted by people playing songs from his famous ex, Shakira.
This is what some call “a power couple,” two celebrities together. When they were happy, the Spanish paparazzi was delighted for them. But now that the couple has split, Spain is not being nice. You can find tons of videos on YouTube at the games with fans of Shakira with banners and people yelling insults at Pique. The harassment has been so bad that professional soccer player Pique has decided to retire.
His new love, a younger woman, is hiding from the paparazzi and is receiving counseling because of the harassment. She is also being stalked. Shakira, in horrible pain, made a song calling Pique a narcissist and comparing her heartbreak to a hole in her heart.
So much drama! We now lost a great soccer player because of his desires. People should follow their hearts and the public needs to stay out of people’s love relationships.
We all love Shakir. We love Pique. If his heart fell in love with another woman, he must follow his heart. Shakira had two beautiful boys from this relationship and should be grateful she now has children.
Time does heal all wounds, Shakira. The public needs to stay out of people’s love life. A romantic relationship should be between two people and not for everyone to join in with their unsolicited opinions.
Everyone should follow their heart. Shakira and Pique were not legally married but living together in a common-law marriage. Either way, married or not, love is a private matter. Separations are complete enough. There is no need to stalk and harass the main characters.
My desire is for all parties involved to find peace and happiness. People, please stop harassing Clara Chia, Pique’s new woman. Please stop harassing this great soccer player, too.
Love is not a sin. Shakira and Pique had ten years together, and the love died, which happens when people don’t nurture their marriage. Dates, trips, sex, and respect are necessary for a marriage to work. Shakira said it herself: the relationship fell into a monotony, a boring daily route.
I am sad we lost a great soccer player. I feel he was forced to retire, and I understand his reasons. Harassing someone because he no longer wants to be with a woman is cruel, nosy, and crazy!
