Here’s my analysis and prediction.
Jake Paul has a perfect 5-0 boxing record and has knocked out a lot of talented boxers, including Tyrone Woodley, Ben Askren, and Nate Robinson. But Saturday, he may be going up against the best opponent of his career, Anderson Silva.
The Spider, as Silva is called, has a 3-1 boxing record and a whopping 34-11 MMA record. Paul has emphasized time and time again that he wanted to take on Silva, and he is getting his wish.
Me? I was skeptical about the match-up until I witnessed Paul training harder than ever. So, now I believe Paul will win.
This fight will be worth watching because it’s a long time coming. Tommy Fury and Harry Rahman Jr. had agreements to take on Paul, but both pulled out for various reasons. Now, finally, after months of waiting, Paul gets an opportunity to face a real boxer, and we could witness history in the making.
The fight will be televised via Showtime at 9p Eastern time.
