The open category tournament was conducted from Wednesday, July 13, to Sunday, July 17, at the Sri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India.

The event, organized by Ekagra Chess Academy, drew over 500 participants, with several Grandmasters and International Masters participating. The tournament was conducted with a time control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment for 9 rounds.
The Open category had 84 cash prizes worth INR 11,11,111 with 134 trophies. There were several rating category prizes, along with the age category, a physically challenged category, and a veteran category. Based on the tournament rules, a higher category prize gets precedence; hence, Pranav won a cash prize and trophy for the Rating category below 1200.
