Mithun won second prize (silver) in the Under 15 category of RVDCA-44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022, which was held over the weekend, ending Sunday, June 19.
The event, organized by Raya Vellore District Chess Association on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, had over 150 contestants participating with a time control of 25 minutes and 10 seconds increment.

Mithu will now move on to play in the 44th Chess Olympiad, which will be held at Mahabalipuram from July 28 to August 10.
