Incredible bout lived up to expectations.
Boxing behemoths Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder faced off in Las Vegas on Saturday night in what turned out to be an epic battle. Heavy pre-fight betting went in Fury’s favor in this third of three confrontations. The first fight (2018) was a draw, and the second (2020) went Fury’s way by way of a TKO in the fight’s 7th Round.
This time, Fury came out on top with a hard-fought, well-deserved 11th round TKO. With the win, the heavyweight champion extended his undefeated record to 31-0-1.
The big question now is whether a Fury-Wilder IV is in the cards. Even if these two never fight again, there’s still no question that this, ESPN’s Mark Kriegel put it well when he wrote: “As worthy as any trilogy in the history of the sport: Ali-Frazier, Bowe-Holyfield, and now Fury-Wilder.”
