Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks–if not the greatest quarterback–to ever play pro football. Will we add the words oldest to ever play to the list of accolades?
Usually, when an athlete hits a certain age, they can’t play kids’ games anymore. The body ages, injuries occur, and the recovery process lingers. But Tom Brady, it seems, is hell-bent on showing that conventional wisdom isn’t.
Tom Brady (then in his 30s) was asked when he might retire. His answer? 45. Well, Brady is there now with more rings than he had back then (another added just last year), and TB 12 shows no signs of slowing down. And when asked on his YouTube show with teammate Rob Gronkowski if he could play until he’s 50, Brady responded, “Yes!”
Do you think he can do it? I do. The reason is how he approaches the game and prepares himself to play with a stringent diet and training regimen.
For reference, TB 12 isn’t far from matching the length of play of what (is now) the oldest QB ever to play the game. George Blanda, who played until he was 48, doubled as a placekicker.
My thinking is that Brady will do his best to chase (and achieve) every record he can. And when he does retire, people will look back and say, “That guy was the greatest football player ever.” Well, at least I will.

His Wife, Former Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, will not let him play that long. She wanted him to retire already
