Mithun wins!
Mithun Pranav of Class II, Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, clinched the prestigious state championship by scoring 7.5/9 points in the event. With the win, Mithun will represent Tamil Nadu at the National Under 08 Online Open Chess Championship held from September 10-12.
Tamil Nadu State Online Chess Championship Under 08 category was conducted by the Chennai District Chess Association. Held from August 31-September 1, the event drew participants from all district chess associations.
Pranav and his parents are thankful for the support/encouragement from the management, principals, teachers, and staff of Velammal Matriculation School, his coaches, the Raya Vellore District Chess Association, and the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association.
