On Sunday, ASEAN Chess Academy in Singapore conducted an Under-12 onboard rapid event, structured as a 20-minute time-controlled tournament using a seven-round Swiss system.
We are pleased to announce that students associated with Go Checkmate performed excellently in this event.
Mithun Pranav is the Under-08 Champion. Pranav is also the Asian Schools Under-09 Team Gold Winner. Haresh captured the Under-10 crown. He is also Singapore’s youngest-rated player.
Vinesh secured overall 2nd place and received a trophy and cash award. He is also the 2019 bronze winner of the East Asian Youth Blitz Team Chess Championship. Pranav and Haresh shared overall 3rd place, and they also received cash awards for their work.
