Who’s the best … and the best of the rest?
Last week Pete Prisco of CBS Sports released his Top 100 players in the NFL heading into the 2021 season Now, we all have our opinion that we take as fact. Other “experts” may have different criteria for ranking these players. I think the fans would be much happier if they had a top 10 at each position.
Nevertheless, I had some major issues with Pete’s list, like having DeAndre Hopkins ranked 36th overall. As the consensus says, I was shocked to see that D-Hop is, at worst, a top-3 receiver in the league.
Maybe even worse is that Alvin Kamara is ranked right behind Hopkins at #37. I’d love to hear how these two superstar players are ranked behind guys like Darren Waller, Dalvin Cook, Zack Martin, and Fred Warner, to name a few?! Not that these players aren’t great…it’s the order and process on how Prisco came to those conclusions.
While I have my differences with his order, I do, however, agree with many of the players he has in the Top 100. So, to make the comparison easier, I used almost all the same players he did in his article. So, please take a look at both of our rankings and ask yourself which looks better to you!
