Athletes I’m Rooting For in Olympics 2021

At long last, the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games are coming!

Some of the best athletes in the world will compete, and legends will be made. Here are six athletes that I’ll be following.

Climbing, Brooke Raboutou: The 20-year-old female climber is sure to win Gold at this year’s Olympic climbing event. Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, Raboutou has won climbing championships and comes from a family of climbing legends.

Skateboarding, Heimana Reynolds: Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, the 22-year-old skateboarder has already won a skateboarding world championship. If he can pull off what he did then, he’ll surely take home a Gold Medal.

Surfing, Kolohe Andino: Surf’s up! Andino, age 27 from California, this U.S. #1 (2019) will make enough gnarly moves to win Gold.

Karate, Sakura Kokumai: Also hailing from the Golden State, Sakura will chop her way to a Gold. Winner of multiple championships, she claimed the top spot at the 2019 Pan-American Games.

Tennis, Naomi Osaka: Osaka gets support from rapper boyfriend, Cordae. Look for her to distinguish herself this summer in Tokyo.

Men’s Basketball, Joe Johnson: Johnson makes regular appearances on U.S. National teams. He’ll look to put a swirl on a fantastic career this summer in Tokyo.

These six athletes have one goal–Gold!
