Hatcher was an NFL cheerleader.
We all know who Teri Hatcher is. Right? She’s an American actress who has been featured on television shows such as Desperate Housewives (ABC, 2004-2012). But before she achieved TV and film fame, Hatcher was a cheerleader for the 1984 San Francisco 49er.
Back in ’83, the cheerleaders were known as the Gold Rush. Previously (1946-1970), the cheer squad was known as the Niner Nuggets.
The ’83 49ers finished 15-1 and made a trip to Super Bowl XIX to play the Miami Dolphins. It was Montana v. Marino. The 49ers won.

About Matthew Paris
I grew up an avid Houston sports fan. After graduating from Texas Tech University in Theater and English Literature I worked as a marketing rep and coach for I9 Sports, coaching baseball, flag football, soccer, and basketball. I’m currently with Austin Sports Academy as a marketing coordinator, baseball and football coach, and coordinator of middle school and high school open play nights. I’ve written three short films for Looknow Productions and have also written articles on film marketing, producing, and directing. I really enjoy writing about sports and being an active contributor to The Sports Column.
