Among other things, Marino was the NFL’s MVP in 1984, a 3x first-team all-pro, and a 3x NFL passing touchdown leader. With all these records broken and career highlights. He will always be known as one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game–even though he left the NFL without winning the biggest game of all, the Super Bowl ring.

Today, Marino is known for his off-the-field work. In 1992, he and his spouse Claire established The Dan Marino Foundation. The Foundation’s focus is autism, prompted when their second son, Michael, was diagnosed with autism. The Marinos want to find ways to help those with autism be successful in today’s world.

And the number is large. Today, 3.5 million Americans meet the criteria to be classified for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Dan Marino Foundation has raised more than $84 million and has piloted innovative ways to empower people so that nothing stands in the way of achieving their hopes and dreams.

Yes, Dan Marino will always be remembered for what he did on the field. Today, he’s making the same impact through his foundation.
