Why ‘PAW Patrol’ Is A Keeper

There are multiple reasons why Nick Jr. shouldn’t cancel ‘PAW Patrol.’

Police aren’t popular these days. A big reason is what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis and the nationwide protests that have followed. There are consequences in the media, too. One of my favorite shows, PAW Patrol, a Nick Jr cartoon for kids, could get the boot.

But the Sports Day DVD collection shows a good side to the show–a sports side. Six episodes are included in that DVD, each featuring a different sport.

Pups Save a Basketball Game: Mayor Goodway decides to challenge Mayor Humdinger’s basketball team to a game. The only thing Mayor Goodway needs…is a basketball team!

Pup-Fu: Marshall trains in martial arts.

Pups Save the Mayor’s Race: Mayor Humdinger tries to cheat on an obstacle course.

Pups Save a Snowboard Competition: Everest and Jake eagerly do snowboarding.

Pups Save a Soccer Game: The Pups play soccer.

Air-Pups: The Paw Patrol participates in an air competition.

So if any of the executives at Nick Jr are reading this, I URGE YOU TO KEEP THE SHOW ON THE AIR! It teaches important lessons about the importance of being kind, and it inspires kids to participate in sports. I’ll stop watching Nick Jr if you cancel the show.

In the meantime, thanks, Pups, for being entertaining and instructive.
