The NBA is trying to get its season back. In the meantime, songs will have to do.
Here are nine songs that are perfect for NBA games.
1. Gooba, Tekashi 6ix9ine: The song’s tempo is fantastic for seeing LeBron James or Rudy Gobert on the court. The only downside is the music video, which shows 6ix9ine with a mouse Snapchat filter. But overall, his return to music is a success.
2. Zoo York, Lil Tjay & Pop Smoke: Tjay and Pop work together on the first of Pop’s back-to-back posthumous releases. The title itself is a perfect name-change for the New York Nets, perfect for watching Kevin Durant.
3. Run It Up, Nav and Pop Smoke: The second of Pop’s posthumous collaborations is just as perfect as the previous one. Nav’s vocals are the equivalent of In The Air Tonight, played in the NBA 2K trailer. Then, Pop comes in with his rusty vocals.
4. In The Air Tonight, Phil Collins: Of course, this song makes the list! It was used in the NBA 2K trailer.
5. Pump Rock, Lil Pump: This song isn’t out yet, but the snippet online is promising. It’s perfect for sports, not just the NBA.
6. The Box, Roddy Ricch: Ehh-Err! Ricch’s song is perfect, and he even plays basketball in the video.
7. I Could Die, Mod Sun: This song is genuine rock and roll.
8. Small Town Luv, Dirty Redd: Trippie Redd’s late brother was extremely talented as a rapper. His only song is upbeat, which makes it perfect for the NBA.
9. Thaeter, Marilyn Manson: He’s my favorite rocker. This intro song off his Golden Age of Grotesque album is perfect for the NBA.
