Say goodbye to the MLB Hall of Fame Ceremony 2020. Say hello to tunes that will get you ready for Induction 2021.
The 2020 Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony is a no-go because of COVID-19. Inductees Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons, and Larry Walker will go into the Hall next year.
But the postponement doesn’t mean we can’t experience an alternative. Here are songs that I believe fit each of the inductees.
Derek Jeter: Jeter spent his 20 years playing shortstop with The New York Yankees and is currently an executive for the Marlins. He’s a 14-time All-Star and a five-time World Series Champion. Songs: I Don’t, Mariah Carey, Baby, Justin Bieber, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana, and We Are The Champions, Queen.
Marvin Miller: The late Marvin Miller was a union organizer and executive. He is considered to be one of the prominent names in sports reform. Songs: Rockstar, Post Malone and 21 Savage, Oprah’s Bank Account, Lil Yachty, Ransom, Lil Tecca, Noticed, Lil Mosey.
Ted Simmons: Simmons played for the Cardinals, Brewers, and Braves, and named an MLB all-star eight times. Songs: Sasuke, Lil Uzi Vert, Shotgun, George Ezra, One More Time, Daft Punk, Stan, Eminem
Larry Walker: A five-time MLB All-Star, Walker played for the Expos, Rockies, and Cardinals. Songs: Waka, 6ix9ine, No Me Am, Anuel AA, Tootsie Slide, Drake, Thotiana, Blueface.
