Tamizhselvan, Vivaan Jain and Kiruthika played exceptionally well against GM RR Laxman.
On Saturday in Singapore, ‘Go Checkmate’ conducted its 2nd Online Simultaneous tournament with players from Singapore, India, and Dubai participating. I co-organized the event with Mr. Gunasekaran (FM).
From more than 100 entries, 28 participants (a mix of both rated and unrated) were given an opportunity to play simultaneously with Grand Master RR Laxman, the tournament host. India’s 20th Grand Master at the age of 26, Laxman has the highest rating of 2521. He was Commonwealth Champion in 2010 and National Blitz Champion in 2017. In 2018, he became Chennai Open Champion.
The tournament was conducted in the LiChess Platform. Time control for the players was 30 mins + 10 seconds increment and 90 min + 10 seconds increment for the host.
Laxman had 25 wins, two draws, and one loss. Tamizhselvan, Vivaan Jain, and Kiruthika had exemplary performances against the Grand Master.
It is very easy to play and user friendly.
Also it is very useful to have an experience in such a lockdown period.
Co ordination of Mr.Gunasekaran is very good.
I would like my son to be participate in this game next time
