In Singapore, Grand Master (GM) Deepan Chakkravarthy J was the tournament host. India’s 13th Grand Master with a highest rating of 2550, he is also the 2002 Asian Junior Chess Champion and 2017 National Challengers Champion.
The event was organized by Mr. Praveen Kumar(FI) and Mr. Gunasekaran(FM)
From more than 100 entrants, 24 participants were given an opportunity to play simultaneously with the GM. Participants included Singapore Kickoff 2020 Champion Dhanesh; India’s Youngest Rapid rated player, Mithun Pranav; Singapore’s Youngest Rated Player, Haresh; World School Under-7 Bronze Champion, Nivaan Khandhadia; Eastern Asia Youth Blitz Team Chess Championship 2019, Bronze winner, Vinesh; and GIIS Singapore Under-8 Champion Aarnav Das Vaidya.
The tournament was conducted in LiChess Platform. Time control for the players was a 20 mins + 10 seconds increment, and an 80 min + 10 seconds increment for the host.
