Good things come from the rap-sports connections. This isn’t one of those times.
Floyd Mayweather is an Olympic champ and pro boxer extraordinaire. He also has a daughter, Yaya, who has been dating rapper NBA Youngboy (AKA Youngboy Never Broke Again). Youngblood is well known for hits Outside Today, Bandit with the late Juice Wrld, Solar Eclipse, and has worked with industry legends like Gucci Mane and Future.
Last week, Yaya was arrested for stabbing Lapattra Jacobs, Youngboy’s ex-girlfriend and mother of NBA’s child, during an argument. She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and, if convicted, could face a lengthy jail sentence and fine.
My prayers go out to Lapattra, Youngboy, and the Mayweather clan.
