The rapper had ball skills but chose rap over the game.
Rapper Lil Tecca is well known for the hit song, Ransom, and a beef with fellow teen rapper, Lil Mosey, who appears with Tecca on Trippie Redd’s album, A Love Letter To You 4. But Tecca has basketball skills in addition to rapping talents.
Before he made it big in rap, Tecca had dreams of playing in the NBA, honing his skills during the summers at Springfield Park in Queens.
But Tecca realized he had rap skills that could earn him as much success as rapping. He also didn’t want to stay busy with ball. “I love basketball a lot,” said Tecca to Billboard. “But honestly, eventually, I realized I couldn’t see myself waking up every day to do it. I like doing it to have fun, you feel me? I can’t see myself having to wake up early, like 6 a.m., to go to practice for it every day.”
Tecca has ball and rap skills. In the words of his song, Ransom, “What you want?”
For some people, it can be both.
