Rapper and XXXTENTACION associate, Tank Head, is in custody, charged with the murder of the former University of Central Florida football star Jose Trimaine Jose.
In addition to his career at the UCF, Trimaine Jose also played for Booker T. Washington and Miami Central high schools. During his time at UCF, he appeared in nine games in 2011 and eight games in 2012.
This latest connection between rap and sports is just one more example of the change we need in both industries.
Tank, who is about to turn 28 years this month, has also been charged with strangulation and false imprisonment. He tried to flee to another state before being caught.
But his troubles, he was performing with XXXTENTACION and was a member of The Members Only collective.
Tank could be making millions in hip hop. Instead, he allegedly gun downed a football player in cold blood.
Learn from Tank. Don’t be like him!
____________
I dedicate this to the legacy of Jose Trimaine Jose. This latest and tragic connection is why we need to change rap and sports for the better before someone else gets jailed or killed.
