Lil Wayne honors Kobe with a track on his album, Funeral.

Losing Kobe Bryant has left a giant hole in the world of professional basketball and sports. Bryant inspired the world.
So it only seemed fit for rapper Lil Wayne to remember Bryant on his latest album, Funeral.

Having already written a song about the basketball star, Wayne knows that Bryant’s influence has to be remembered and honored in every way possible. So on Track 8, Wayne takes 24 seconds of silence to remember ‘Black Mamba.’

People recognize the connection: #8 was Bryant’s number, as was number 24. So it seems fit to honor their hero that way.

Bryant’s life won’t be in vain either in sports or rap.

RIP to a legend!
