Mensa thinks Jay-Z is just the right person to help get the NFL’s act together.
Rapper, singer, and 93Punx frontman Vic Mensa is well known for songs like Dark Things, It’s A Bad Dream with Good Charlotte, Persephone, F.I.N.E., Camp America, and even parts on Kanye’s Life Of Pablo album and Chance’s Coloring Book mixtape.
Mensa also loves football. He announced a few months ago that he believes rapper Jay-Z will own an NFL franchise soon.
Where does Colin Kaepernick fit in? “I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn’t get a job with Hov (Jay-Z) being in the NFL,” Mensa told TMZ. We know the NFL is a slave game, so to have a black man in there…especially a black man with a socially conscious responsibility, cause I know that’s how Hov feels, man…. I believe that Kap’s gonna get that job, and I believe that Hov’s intentions are in the right place. Sh*t’s gotta change in the NFL.”
Mensa may not have it right about Jay-Z and Kap, but it’s spot on that the NFL needs to do better. Mensa believes that Jay-Z is the guy to make things right.
We’ll have to see how things shake out.
