Who loves fried chicken and wrestling? Lots of people do. That’s why KFC and WWE are a match!
KFC isn’t an abbreviation for a college or the name of a sports league. It’s a finger-lickin‘ food chain that features high-calorie, comfort food.
Consider this, ‘The Double Down‘ is a sandwich with cheese, sauce, and bacon between two mammoth pieces of fried chicken posing as bread. But KFC does have an impressive line of grilled chicken, too. Just ask partner Oprah Winfrey.
KFC has another partnership worth noting–wrestling’s WWE.
Many WWE wrestlers have starred in KFC commercials. Dolph Ziggler even played founder Colonel Sanders in an ad where he beat up a ‘chicken’ played by his fellow wrestler, The Miz.
KFC also did a Summerslam match to pick the next Colonel. Shawn Micheals won the title.
KFC has also been in video games for WWE. In ‘WWE2K18,’ Colonel Sanders is a playable character, available through the ‘Create a Character’ feature of the game.
When you think about folks who love fried chicken and also enjoy wrestling, well, this match is as cozy as mashed potatoes with a biscuit on the side.
