Soccer is backstage as this rapper deals with continuing legal troubles.

Tekashi 6ix9ine (born Daniel Hernandez) is well known for making hits, including Gummo, Fefe (with Nicki Minaj), Stoopid, and the Spanish dance song, Bebe (with Anuel AA).
6ix9ine is also known for legal troubles, his feud with Trippie Redd, and for being hated by YG and Meek Mill for informing on gang members.
Lesser known is that this 23-year-old rainbow-haired rapper has a knack for soccer. In 2018, 6ix9ine shared an Instagram photo of him on a middle-school soccer team. “LMAOOOO. I found a picture of me on a soccer team when I was younger. I had no hair,” he wrote in the caption of that post.
But 6ix9ine’s soccer career didn’t last long. He dropped out of middle school after his father passed away and, then, spent time on Rikers Island for assaulting his boss.
Despite troubles, though, 6ix9ine’s love for the game has continued into adulthood. He showed off his soccer skills recently during a match with model Britanny Hamilton (he lost, by the way). And 6ix9ine even applied to be the goalie for Mexico’s national soccer team.

At issue is whether he will be able to focus on soccer or find himself behind bars. In 2018, 6ix9ine was charged with racketeering–a serious crime with Federal implications and the possibility of Federal prison time. He was convicted in early February but, a few weeks later, 6ix9ine was told he could avoid jail time if he testified against other gang members.
Will he or won’t he? The answer: it’s probably six of one and nine of the other.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is gonna be released from jail. 6 months to go. He could’ve faced 45 years to life in jail for the racketeering incident had he not cooperated with government authorities. Let’s pray he stays out of trouble from here on out.
