Kyler Murray has been the talk of the Draft. Thursday night will tell the tale.
Arizona Cardinals – Kyler Murray, Oklahoma, QB. Kyler Murray is 5’10, but he packs a punch with a powerful arm and blazing speed. The QB incumbent, Josh Rosen, has gone on record saying that he respects upper-management decisions (NFL.com). It looks as though Murray will be the face of this franchise.
San Francisco 49ers – Nick Bosa, Ohio State, DE. Nick will be entering NFL stardom just like big bro’–and he’ll most likely end up in California, just like brother Joe. The acquisitions of Dee Ford and Kwon Alexander will only make Bosa’s pick look better. It will enable the Niners’ defense to be a juggernaut up front. Nick Bosa has all the tools to be a great NFL defensive end.
New York Jets – Josh Allen, Kentucky, DE: Allen is outstanding coming off the edge. His 40-yard dash time (4.63) is a testimony to having a quick burst off the line. Allen’s 20-yard shuttle–clocked at 4.23 seconds–shows that his quickness is off the charts. Look for Allen to be sacking y’all’s favorite quarterbacks.
Oakland Raiders – Quinnen Williams, Alabama, DT: Quinn Williams, an absolute beast for the Crimson Tide, weighs in at 303 lbs. and runs a 4.83 40-yard dash. That’s crazy! Many in the media consider Williams to be the best prospect in the draft. With a high ceiling, Williams will help any NFL front. I predict he’ll be playing for Gruden and company.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Devin White, LSU, ILB: This stud is an absolute ball hawk! His speed is second to none. Considered to be the best inside linebacker in the Draft, White can be used in a variety of ways. DC Todd Bowles will scheme up a plan that fits him well.
New York Giants – Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State, QB: Haskins has size, athleticism, and a big arm. He threw a conference record 50 touchdown passes last year at Ohio State, beating out Drew Brees’ previous record of 54 TD tosses. Haskins is pocket-passer who rarely rolls out and improvises. He’ll need to improve in that area if he wants to become an elite NFL QB.
Jacksonville Jaguars – T.J. Hockenson, Iowa, TE: Hockenson is a classic TE who can block like a traditional lineman and catch the ball like Travis Kelce. That makes him a good get for incoming QB Nick Foles. Foles flourishes with tight ends who can block and catch.
Detroit Lions – Montrez Sweat, Mississippi State, DE: Sweat is a freak of nature with his giant wingspan. The question mark is his height. Some see it as a good thing. Others aren’t so sure. Sweat is a star in my eyes. I think he’ll help the Lions immediately.
Buffalo Bills – Noah Fant, Iowa, TE: Fant will be the second TE chosen in the Top 10–the second Hawkeye taken, along with teammate T.J. Hockenson. Fant is more of a wide receiver-type than Hockenson. Look for Fant to become a big part of the Bills’ offense.
Denver Broncos – Devin Bush, Michigan, ILB: Bush, who’s ultra-athletic, is a great dropback linebacker in coverage. He has a nose for the ball and great playmaking instincts. A great off-ball linebacker, Bush will make plays in the backend and has the ability to cover NFL tight ends.
Other prospects to keep an eye on
Ed Oliver – Houston, DT: Projected to go early in the first round (5-15)
D.K. Metcalf – Ole Miss, WR: Projected to go in the first round (10-25) (star of this years NFL Combine)
A.J. Brown – Ole Miss, WR: Projected to go late in the first early second (25-40)
Marquise Brown – Oklahoma, WR: Projected to go late in the first round (20-32)
Sleeper of the Draft – Lil Jordan Humphrey, Texas, WR Humphrey can become player that is taken in the late rounds and become a great talent in this league. His ideal landing spot – Kansas City.
