While it’s too early to tell, so far so good. Pule is impressing players and fans alike.
In South Africa’s Premier Soccer League, newly signed Orlando Pirates attacker, Vincent Pule, has absolutely and completely hit the ground running! After eight league starts, Pule has found the back of the net three times and has assisted once.
That’s a prodigious start for Pule, rarely seen, particularly in South Africa.
The name, ‘Pule,’ has started making rounds after he scored a Cup-winning goal against Bloemfontein Celtic. Today, he’s teaming up with Thembi-Nkosi Lorch and the combo has left many defenders ruing the day they joined football.
And while it’s all good news to fans and Coach Milutin Sredojevic, the big question is how things will eventually turn out. The worst case scenario is that a pedal-on-the-medal start will turn sour.
In Pule, do the Pirates have a bona fide star? Or is this nothing more than a flash start?
We’ll see!
