Second half surge was the difference for Kaya.

On Sunday, Kaya U-17 kept its YFL unscored-upon streak by defeating Dreaming FC 3:0. With the win, Kaya’s scoring advantage for the season grew to 14:0.

The goals against Dreaming came in the second half with the offensive spark coming from Kaya’s top striker, Doumbia Moriba.

“We didn’t control the game in the first half, but we became the better side after changing the game plan in the second half,” Harry Domelow, Kaya’s captain.

Doumbia’s single tally gave him three goals in the last two matches. Michael Brobbey scored a brace and now has four goals on the season.

“It is always a good feeling to score and win. My goals were the result of teamwork,” Brobbey said.

“Dreaming put on a good fight,” Kaya coach, Lerche Njang, observed. “After last week’s loss, they were hungry to win. But our boys responded well. Now the competition gets even tougher.”

Kaya faces a stiff test next Sunday against undefeated GAU. The contest will be played at Alabang Country Club starting at 11 a.m.
