Kaya rolls in season opener. Plays Dreaming FC next.
Kaya dominated the game throughout, scoring 11 goals in the process. Doumbia Moriba, Daniel Bacaron, Michael Brobbey scored a brace in the game while Genesis Elefan, Joshua Matinez, Chris Hagedorn, Enzo Tirel and Avecilla Joaquin also scored.
“It was a good first game,” Kaya U17 captain Harry Domelow said.
Domelow praised his Kaya teammates for the deserving victory. “We can’t just win 11-0 out of nothing,” he continued. “We worked hard for it and our training paid off. Overall, it was a really good performance from the team.”
Teammate Koumoin Kouakou agreed: “We won, but we have to work harder.”
That’s exactly where head coach Lerche Njang settled, too: “Winning gives confidence and I’m happy we won today,” Njang said. “But we have to remain focused because we know our next game will be a challenge.”
Kaya will face Dreaming FC next Sunday, April 15, at Alabang Country Club. Game time is 1 p.m.
