The first match in the Rugby League World Cup–between Australia and England–will be played on Friday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. Melbourne time (6 a.m. New York time).

The 2017 Rugby League World Cup began in 1954, and this is the 15th time the tournament has been held. This year’s tournament will include 14 men’s and 6 women’s teams from around the world.
Nations represented include USA, Italy, England, Scotland, Australia, Ireland, Figi, France, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa.
Games will be played in thirteen host cities, including Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
