Storyline: The Vikings’ O-line isn’t able to protect Sam Bradford. Getting the Bills’ Seantrel Henderson would help. Written by Nolan O’Hara, Duluth, MN.

The Minnesota Vikings took a tough loss to the Chicago Bears in Monday Night Football, 20-10, at Soldier Field.
The Bears piggybacked off of what Eagles’ DC Jim Schwartz did the previous week: pressure and sack Vikings’ QB Sam Bradford. Using different defensive schemes and blitzes, the Bears ended the night with five sacks.
It’s obvious that Minnesota has problems in the O-line. The Vikings won’t be a Super Bowl contender unless they can figure out a way to protect Sam Bradford.
One way is to make a trade. The Vikings should acquire the Bills’ Seantrel Henderson by the trade deadline.
Despite low cap space there’s a scenario associated with making that move. Henderson is currently in the fourth year of his four-year, $2.2-million-dollar rookie contract. A trade would cost the Vikings close to $500,000 against the cap this year.

If the Vikings were able to trade Jarius Wright for Seantrel Henderson that trade would be under the cap. Shipping Wright to the Bills would free up $2.5 million in cap for this year.
The Bills are a playoff contender. With about $7.2 million in cap space and an injured Sammy Watkins this could be a perfect trade for both teams.
I hope GM Rick Spielman is in talks with Buffalo. Without some kind of improvement in the Vikings’ OL it will be a longer winter in Minnesota.
