Last Friday I met up with my dad and and we watched my high school alma mater play. It was the kind of night you’d imagine in August. It was 70 degrees. But there was a packed house. And, yes, there were bright lights.
As we watched the game I couldn’t help but reminisce. Even though it had been 10 years since I had played on that field, it seemed just like yesterday. I thought about the adversities I faced when I was a 17-year-old kid.

I thought about the adversities those kids would face in their lives. And I had a comforting feeling that they’d be just fine. They know that if they get knocked down (and they will), then you dust yourself up and come back for more.
