Storyline: A champion on the field, Usain Bolt also inspires us to succeed in life.
In the last week of the Rio Olympics Usain Bolt achieved his dream of completing his triple-triple.
Bolt anchored the Jamaican 4×100-meter relay. The team raced to victory in the finals to ensure three Gold Medals at three consecutive Olympics. At the end of the race Bolt said: “There you go. I am the greatest.”
Bolt also earned Gold in Rio in the 100m and 200m races. Bolt achieved the very same results in the London and Beijing Olympics.
In addition to 9 gold medals, Usain Bolt has offered 9 golden motivational during his remarkable career.
Here they are:
1. Worrying gets you nowhere. If you turn up worrying about how you’re going to perform, you’ve already lost. Train hard, turn up, run your best, and the rest will take care of itself.
2. Easy is not an option. No days off. Never Quit. Be Fearless. Talent you have naturally. Skill is only developed by hours and hours of work.
3. There are better starters than me, but I’m a strong finisher.
4. For me, I’m focused on what I want to do. I know what I need to do to be a champion, so I’m working on it.
5. My hunger is always there.
6. It’s always a wake-up call to get beaten.
7. I know what I can do, so I never doubt myself.
8. You have to set goals so you can push yourself harder. Desire is the key to success.
9. Believe in your dreams and that anything is possible.
Bolt’s inspiration can motivate us as young athlete, coach, or sports enthusiast to achieve our goals–even our dreams.
Thanks Mr Reed for sending our class these motivation aand inspiring quotes. Thank Usain Bolt for sharing
them. Usain Bolt isalso one of my favorite Olympian .
This is an excellent capstone to your communications course. I have learned a lot and even this farewell takes your class right over the top. Thank you Prof. Markham.
I can see how his comments are true. I believe them myself, I tell everyone how well they are doing and yet right now I can not find any part of me with the encouraging words for myself. This saddens me as I cheer for everyone, show them their potentials, and self-worth.
Thank you for sharing this I will be printing it out and posting it for the self-motivation I need right now. I am a teacher for second Language learners. I have worked hard to complete this degree. Failing is not in my plan neither is quitting. I know that failing is acceptable at times to regain the power to learn more. This class has changed me as now I see things differently. What I always saw as my shortcomings are not all mine. I can now see how by using words and tones you can make things positive or negative. Thank you for teaching me how to change things.
