Storyline: Nashville-based Advent designed the new lounge facilities for Florida State football.
Florida State has recently added a new football players’ lounge as part of a program-wide upgrade of facilities. This tricked out lounge is a forerunner in an emerging trend in college athletics.
FSU not only upgraded key spaces, such as locker rooms and meeting rooms, but also provided a stylish place for players to relax, study and play. The innovations were designed by the Nashville-based firm, Advent.
The Florida State players’ lounge is warm and inviting for student-athletes to enjoy down time. Amenities like video games, a ping-pong table, a pool table, foosball, televisions, and a theater also create a space where student-athletes socialize and build camaraderie.
The focal point is the distinctive lighting, which was designed to mirror the yard lines and hash marks at Doak Campbell Stadium. Other features include oversized wall graphics of players in action on the field, along with team logos that are embedded on arcade consoles and pool cues.
The idea behind this cutting edge design is to ensure that while in the lounge that players are immersed Florida State team colors and branding, which enhances Seminole pride.
