Storyline: Kevin Martin may be traded. Los Angeles or Chicago may be the next stop in his NBA career. Written by Peyton Hook, Galesburg, IL.
Rumor has it that the Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping Kevin Martin. Reports say that the Wolves are interested in the Los Angeles Clippers’ Jamal Crawford. Martin has two years left with Wolves. He’s being paid $7,085,000 this year. Crawford, paid $5,675,000 in ’15-16, is in the last year of his contract. Martin is averaging 11.3 ppg. and Crawford is averaging 12.3 ppg. (as of 1/26/16).
The word is that the Bulls are also interested in Martin. To get him, Chicago could trade Tony Snell and Kirk Hinrich. The Bulls need a player who can get a shot up on his own.
The Timberwolves should trade Martin.
