Golden State Warriors Remain Undefeated

,

Storyline: At this pace, Golden State could very well beat the 1971-1972 Lakers record of 33 consecutive games won and the 1995-1996 Bulls record of a total 72 regular season wins. Written by Eric, Pennsylvania

From the first game of the season–after scoring a total of 40 points and a career high 24 points in the first quarter–Stephen Curry and the Warriors have made it clear they are going for another ring.

By breaking the NBA record for the best start to a season (at 16-0), and now being 20 games into the season, Curry and the Golden State Warriors are sitting at a perfect 20-0 record. At 20 wins-to-none they’re looking to rewrite the record books as they tie a 131-year old record for the most consecutive wins in all of U.S. professional sports to start a season. That record is held by the 1884 St. Louis Maroons, a baseball team that played in the Union Association.

The Warriors have been winning most games with ease and, “with ease,” I mean the Warriors’ average margin of victory is more than 15 points a game. If the “Splash Brother’s” continue to rout opposition, Golden State could very well beat the 1971-1972 Lakers record of 33 consecutive games won and the 1995-1996 Bulls record of a total 72 regular season wins.

The next game is scheduled for December 5th against the Raptors. Toronto is 12-7 on the season and will look to hand the Warriors their first loss on the season.

Stay tuned!
